Cognitive Hypnotherapy is significantly different to most traditional forms of hypnotherapy in that it does not use a “one size fits all” approach. It is a tailored modern scientific form of therapy bringing ideas and techniques from various disciplines of psychology and neuroscience binding them together with hypnotic language to create a powerful integrated approach. It is interactive, where the therapist acts as a guide. The principle is that you can find solutions with skilled assistance. It does not involve the therapist as a controlling influence, or someone who dictates what is “best” for you. The approach revolves around the therapist working within your model of the world, not forcing you into the therapist’s model of his or hers. The power of help and change is already within you. These resources (even if they are not yet fully developed) will be used to full extent empowering you to reach your desired outcome through a series of personalised interventions using your natural trance states to assist in uncovering feelings, thoughts, and memory patterns and the ability to react flexibly to these in the present moment to enable time efficient results.
